"Live, and in color, for the last time"

We have been fans of Jace McTier's explosive style for years now and are extremely excited to finally be working along side him. Jace offered his signature take on the powerfully stark photographs that Peter Warrack captured of Janis Joplin performing for the last time live in concert. We couldn't be more pleased with the results.

From the age of eleven months, Jace McTier has held a paint brush in his hands, or has drawn under his mother's easel while she painted in her studio; and even at the age of five was her truest critic. His keen eye makes him an excellent artist, and his interests, aside from his portrait career, have carried him into the vast worlds of sporting and wildlife art.

Hailed as the next Leroy Neiman, McTier’s bold color and powerful use of impasto ranks him among today’s leading artists. His rendering of the motion of the modern athlete and musician is impeccable and ground breaking.
