Her work has received recognition through commissions and residencies including the Isabella Stewart Gardner Museum, Google, New England Foundation for the Arts, Massachusetts Cultural Council, Vermont Studio Center, MassMoCA Assets4Artists. Chavez holds a BFA in Illustration from the Massachusetts College of Art & Design and continues her studio art practice at the Boston Center for the Arts.
Back for its 2nd installment, the Underground Mural Project returns to bring together the very best in street art, music, diversity and community to Underground at Ink Block, an epicenter of culture and creativity nestled between the South End and South Boston neighborhoods of Boston.
From June 24th– June 29th 2019, The Underground Mural Project will gather and celebrate creative do-ers, local, national, and internationally renowned street artists, and local taste makers through a week of arts programming, education, one-of-a-kind activations and a block party that celebrates a blossoming City of arts and culture. The Underground Mural Project is curated by Street Theory in partnership with National Development.
