Louis 'Louie' J. Lamone (1918-2007) was a studio assistant, photographer, and close friend during the last 25 years of Rockwell’s life. At the beginning of his working relationship with Rockwell, Lamone was primarily charged with documenting paintings before they were shipped out to clients. During this period, he taught himself photography, and Rockwell eventually engaged Lamone to capture reference photos of models, and publicity photos for the press.
