MORGAN DYER - "Year One"

"'Year One' is a solo exhibition dedicated to one year of pursuing a full-time painting career.
I paint large color forward abstract paintings. Layers of soft and hard pigments combine together and speak to narratives of my past bridging emotion that may induce uncomfortable spacial relationships or on the contrary, relatable elements of landscape. Using mediums and large amounts of acrylic paint, I pour, erase, and mark the surface with brushes and in reaction to an emotion. I work with the medium to apply the story I wish to tell."

Morgan Dyer is an artist living and working on the North Shore of Massachusetts. She grew up in New Hampshire and moved to Beverly, MA once she graduated with her MFA in painting and Art History at Montserrat College of Art. Her background of travel and constant moving encourages her to discover and reconnect with her surroundings which speaks to the main focus in her work. Morgan works primarily with paint and is known for her large abstract landscapes which have been shown in galleries across the North Shore.
