SCOTT LISTFIELD

SCOTT LISTFIELD is known for his paintings featuring a lone exploratory astronaut lost in a landscape cluttered with pop culture icons, corporate logos, and tongue-in-cheek science fiction references. Scott grew up in Boston and studied art at Dartmouth College. After some time spent living abroad, Scott returned to America and, after watching '2001: A Space Odyssey' for the first time, began painting astronauts and, sometimes, dinosaurs. He now lives and works in Los Angeles.

Scott created the original painting "Fenway" in order to support the charity KultureCity, the nation's leading nonprofit on sensory accessibility and acceptance for those with invisible disabilities such as PTSD, autism, dementia, and strokes. KultureCity has officially partnered with many large venues around the globe - including Fenway Park - to make those experiences safe and welcoming for those with sensory needs.

"Every year I partner with KultureCity and make a painting for their annual charity. A big part of their work is to make public places more accessible for people with invisible disabilities such as PTSD, autism, or dementia. I knew I wanted to paint Fenway, my hometown park and one of their partners, for them in 2022. Although I ended up auctioning the original off for charity, I still managed to squeeze in a number of personal references and nods to my Massachusetts roots, not so secretly hidden in the green monster.”
