Vasilisa Romanenko

Vasilisa Romanenko is a Connecticut-based illustrator, designer, and fine artist. She creates figurative paintings inspired by nature, mythology, fashion, and folk art. Since childhood, she was captivated by the myths and mysteries of rural Russia, where she grew up. Vasilisa explores the roots of feminine power, focusing on the intersection of spirit and the natural world. She depicts the strength and fragility of nature through her images of powerful women, goddesses, good and evil woodland spirits, and the places that they inhabit.
